Overall Function
The Investment Analyst position will play an integral role in supporting our financial planning team, growing our AUM, and in providing the highest level of service to our clients. Through continuous growth, it is our aim to hopefully develop the individual within this position to eventually lead and manage our firm’s investment department. Without this role, our planning team could not devote their full efforts to our client’s needs; therefore, we view this role as central to our success and growth as a team. ROLE IS BASED IN CHICAGO AREA

Review client’s statements, analyze their current positions, their risk tolerance, and be able to provide recommendations that will help implement the investment components of the overall financial planBuild or run out the investment reports in MorningStar or YCharts that act as suitability documents to back up the rational of the recommendationsReview asset allocations, asset location, distribution strategies as well as ways to mitigate a client’s tax burden when in the distribution phase of a financial planKeep abreast of the markets and be able to communicate NM’s stance or rational by listening / watching NM’s weekly investment-based webinars or podcastsAd hoc, deep dives into complex client accounts or servicing issuesPortfolio Management
Help construct model portfolios for advisory clients and build custom portfolios for individual high-networth householdsOwn the quarterly rebalancing of model portfolios while monitoring for portfolio tilts in between rebalancesUnderstand and incorporate sophisticated investment vehicles into individual portfolios; such as but not limited to Direct Indexing, Alternative Investments, Signature Managed Accounts, and Goal Level ManagementManage outside relationships with fund family vendors and other third-party investment consultantsClient Support
