About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Shift : Days

Hours per Shift : 12 hours (7 AM – 7 : 30 PM)

Experience : Minimum of 2 years critical care experience required

License : Active RN License

Certifications : BLS, ACLS

Must-Have : Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

Description :

The Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse who provides safe and competent quality care based on nursing theory and research.

Delivers patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care.

Applies the nursing process based on theory, research, evidence-based practice, and approved organizational nursing standards.

Assesses and evaluates patient care needs and applies critical thinking skills in patient care management.

Integrates relevant assessment and intervention skills in the delivery of nursing care.

Collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care.

Prioritizes all aspects of patient care including teaching, coaching, and planning after hospital care.

Educates patients and caregivers about their plan of care, health promotion, and disease prevention.

Communicates effectively and professionally with patients, families, and all members of the healthcare team.

Manages assignments within the Care Delivery Model and demonstrates effective allocation of resources.

Role models the tenets of Relationship Centered Care through various actions such as rounds and medication review.

Considers patients' values, preferences, and cultural diversity in all aspects of care.

Establishes and maintains therapeutic relationships with patients and families.

Uses evidence-based practices to enhance understanding of patients' perceptions of care.

Initiates service recovery for patients and family members with concerns.

Demonstrates caring, respect, compassion, empathy, and active listening in all interactions.

Conducts purposeful rounding on assigned patients, addressing key patient needs.

Practices safe and efficient patient-centered care, identifying barriers and opportunities for improvement.

Demonstrates clinical skills and knowledge crucial to quality and safety in the patient population served.

Implements process improvement strategies based on evidence-based practices.

Engages in peer and institutional review processes.

Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement quality improvement projects.

Contributes to quality and safety practices and compliance measures.

Implements principles of high reliability to provide a safe environment for patients.

Escalates potential safety hazards or gaps following institutional protocols.

Performs charge nurse duties as assigned.

Coordinates with management to ensure supplies are utilized efficiently for patient care.

Escalates material or staffing resource deficits as necessary.

Documents thoroughly in compliance with care standards.

Facilitates patient throughput on a shift basis.

Contributes to the environment of care to support clinical colleagues, patients, and families.

Advances clinical competence to progress from novice to expert.

Projects a professional image and communicates with respect, empathy, and compassion.

Incorporates ethical principles into decision-making for patients and families.

Encourages lifelong learning and innovation for self and others.

Participates in shared decision-making through specialty practice councils and unit initiatives.
