Responsibilities

• Sets up and configures various low voltage systems (for example, security systems, fire alarms, CCTV, audio / video systems, network cabling).
• Runs, terminates, and labels cables according to project requirements and industry standards.
• Performs regular maintenance checks to ensure system functionality and reliability. Identifies and resolves issues in low voltage systems promptly to minimize downtimes. Fixes any faults or damages in systems, ensuring they are restored to optimal working condition.
• Provides technical support. Provides training and support to end users on how to operate and maintain low voltage systems. Addresses customer inquiries and concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Ensures all installations and repairs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
• Follows safety guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment. Maintains accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs. Generates reports on system performance, issues resolved, and maintenance activities. Evaluates existing systems to determine if upgrades or enhancements are needed. Performs system upgrades to improve performance or comply with new standards.
• Works closely with other technicians, engineers, and project managers to ensure successful project completion.
• Communicates effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions. Stays abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Leads and participates in teams by using and sharing resources, information, and tools; coordinates and executes work assignments; provides advice and support to ensure timelines and work quality; and helps others adapt to change or new challenges.
• Develops, communicates, and implements processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; analyzes information from multiple sources; monitors progress and results; and identifies improvement opportunities.
• Demonstrates, promotes, and supports compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by explaining and applying these in business processes and practices.

Travel

Travel is necessary to perform one or more essential functions of this position. Travels domestically to and from multiple facilities or work-sites requiring consecutive overnight stays. May work at multiple facilities or distant locations. Extended travel (seven days or more) is not required, except for management training and emergency situations.
