Transportation Supervisor – Denver

In This Role, You’ll :

  • Plans, implements, and monitors day-to-day transportation operations, including analysis of on-time reports, delivery reliability, off-load rate, and manpower needs.
  • Reviews and schedules daily routing of equipment and manpower to meet customer needs in terms of contractual guidelines, special deliveries, supplemental deliveries, opening orders, etc.
  • Resolves equipment failures or break-downs, providing advice and assistance to drivers, as well as submitting appropriate reports to leasing / maintenance provider for service and repair.
  • Motivates employees, including performance evaluation, counseling, and problem resolution, to achieve a positive work environment.
  • Supervises employees, including interpretation of rules in a union work environment, conflict resolution, and disciplinary action as required.
  • Updates routing programs (XATA, CADEC) on a daily basis, including review of drivers’ on-board computer reports to ensure that goals for efficiency and timeliness are met.
  • Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.

What You’ll Bring :

  • 3+ years of transportation or food distribution experience, including supervisory roles
  • Working knowledge of DOT regulations, driver safety, routing software, and logistics reporting
  • Strong leadership and conflict-resolution skills - you know how to lead through complexity
  • Ability to communicate clearly with internal teams, drivers, and external partners
  • Work in a temperature-controlled warehouse  - dry, chill, and freezer zones
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (but not required); management or operations-related fields a plus
  • Experience working in unionized environments strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel as needed and work onsite in a 24 / 7 operation
  • The Schedule & Setting :

  • Full-time, on-site supervisory role in a temperature-controlled warehouse
  • Overnight shift from 4 : 00pm to 4 : 00am
  • Alternating week schedule - Sunday-Wednesday one week, Sunday-Thursday the next week
  • Supports a 24 / 7 operation with flexibility required for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Leads a large-scale transportation team focused on safety, reliability, and service
  • Pay & Benefits :

  • Starting salary $65,000 DOE
  • Weekly pay (every Friday)
