Job Description :
The Technical Proposal Writer will be responsible for the development of compelling technical proposal content and responses to federal information technology (IT) contract opportunities. This could include all components of the response (e.g., Executive Summaries, Technical Content, Past Performance, Staffing and Management Content) that align with the opportunity's objectives and requirements. The candidate should have the ability to proficiently write to and convey approaches for IT Operations & Management, Cybersecurity and Cloud Operations and to quickly interpret AAC's offerings and translate these into language aimed at both a business and technical user and / or decision maker. The candidate will successfully collaborate with and take guidance from proposal team leadership (Capture Manager, Proposal Manager, and Operations Lead) and other potential assigned authors to develop compelling, technically accurate proposals, while adhering to strict deadlines and compliance requirements of the opportunity.
Responsibilities :
- Responsible for developing and refining a compliant and compelling technical proposal storyline that incorporates guidance from the capture manager, proposal manager, and technical subject matter experts and clearly and concisely articulates AAC's strengths, win themes, key differentiators, and business value proposition in the context of customer ecosystem and opportunity requirements.
- Ability to adeptly develop responses to technical proposal sections as well as clearly articulate the business value of technical solutions to both technical and non-technical clients and AAC's internal team while adhering to schedules and deadlines established by the proposal manager.
- Undertake research, prepare draft guidance material and documentation, evaluate technical alternatives and recommend preferred option.
- Develop comprehensive proposal content based on interviews with technical, program, and / or management staff.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to produce documents that convey relevant information regarding the details of current contracts and various projects.
- Participate in the overall quality, compliance, and completeness of each opportunity response to include participating in color reviews and refining content based on feedback from review teams as well as capture manager / proposal manager guidance.
- Assist in capture management support as directed by the capture manager.
- Develop an approach for capturing technical data on an on-going basis.
- Develop, and assist in developing, RFI / Sources Sought responses.

Bachelor's or Associates degree in Journalism, English, Computer Science, Information Technology (IT) or similar discipline from an accredited university.Minimum of three years in federal information technology proposal technical writing experience.Evidence of a successful track record of developing content for high quality, high scoring technical proposals.Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to translate technology and business problems into practical, scalable technical solutions.Hard working, self-starter that's proactive, driven, takes ownership, and takes pride in making deadlines delivering compelling work.Leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools (i.e., ChatGPT) and how they can be applied to IT solutions is a strong plus.Ability to research & analyze business intelligence subscriptions like SAM.GOV, FedBizOps, and GovWin to showcase market and opportunity information.Proficiency in MS Office products.Ability to work a flexible schedule to include occasional evenings and weekends as needed in order to meet writing deadlines or talk with operational / contractor staff that are unavailable during the workday.Position location is open for discussion for either office, hybrid or telework.Required Experience
