Key Accountabilities :
- Process purchasing award summaries and purchasing documents
- Assist in the development of Commodity Team strategies that align with Global Purchasing and Logistics Objectives
- Develop sourcing lists and monitor supplier performance
- Aggressively resolve all pricing, invoicing and contract related issues with the suppliers
- Negotiate pricing, terms and annual contracts with suppliers
- Analyze supplier cost / pricing information and benchmark the competition
- Maintain open communication between internal departments, management, and suppliers
- Support cost savings initiatives
- Support the implementation of a standardized process approach utilizing digitalization, common forms, measurements, and structure
- Forecast annual material, purchasing volumes, annual savings, tooling costs and repair budget
- Maintain good housekeeping practices
- Adhere to company / professional ethics governing the handling of confidential information and the observation of confidentiality
- Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct
- Perform special projects as required
Basic Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Materials Management, or Business Finance, and 5 years of procurement, materials management, supplier cost analysis, or supply chain management experience; or 9 years of experience in procurement, materials management, supplier cost analysis, or supply chain managementAbility to travel - domestic and international on a limited basis and learn commodity processes at supplier locationsPreferred Qualifications :
Experience handling confidential sensitive matters with discretionExcellent negotiation skillsStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with othersExcellent working knowledge of purchasing practices and proceduresExcellent financial / cost analysis and problem-solving skills when issues are very complexStrong organizational, planning, and follow-up skillsStrong oral, written and presentation communication skills, and the ability to understand the needs of the internal customerExcellent ability to interpret blueprints and engineering documentsSelf-starter with the ability to work independently with little directionKnowledge of production planning, supply chain and / or materials management processesProficient with PC and MS Office SuiteSpecific knowledge of Off-Highway Diesel Engine commodities, materials and productsSAP experienceEngineering or technical degreeGerman language skillsRolls-Royce is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Pay Range : $78,778 - $118,168-Annually
