Position

We are seeking a strategic leader who will bridge program implementation, business development, and funder relationship management. As Senior Director of Implementation & Growth, you will connect professional learning programs with strategic expansion, with a deep understanding of professional learning, instructional leadership, and the CPS landscape. Responsibilities include managing relationships, expanding our footprint, driving contract renewals, and ensuring measurable educational improvements.

The initial scope focuses on projects in the Chicago area, with potential expansion to other territories and states as part of our national portfolio. This role is a key architect of organizational growth and may lead projects across locations where impact is greatest.

This role offers the opportunity to reshape educational ecosystems by aligning funding, programming, and impact, using your educational expertise to tell the story of how our work creates transformative learning opportunities.

Required Expertise

  • Designing and scaling professional learning programs with measurable impact
  • Developing comprehensive business development strategies for educational markets
  • Crafting persuasive proposals for contract renewals and service expansions
  • Identifying and pursuing new revenue streams in educational ecosystems
  • Building long-term strategic partnerships with educational leaders
  • Prospecting and qualifying new potential district partners
  • Creating systems that enable programmatic excellence and organizational growth
  • Leading program implementation frameworks for high-quality service delivery
  • Coaching and developing teams to execute complex educational initiatives

Prerequisites

  • 10+ years of experience in education, instructional leadership, program implementation, or client management
  • Proven track record managing complex educational initiatives
  • Success in both program delivery and business development
  • Ability to manage team performance while driving growth
  • Strategic skill in contract renewals and partnership expansion
  • Understanding of instructional leadership and curriculum implementation
  • Exceptional project management capabilities
  • Willingness to travel nationally
  • Travel Requirements

  • Based in the Chicago metropolitan area; resided within the Chicago metro region with a home office. Candidates in the Chicago city limits are eligible for a geographic salary multiplier.
  • National travel for organizational retreats, programming, donor meetings, job-related travel, and professional development.

  • Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary ranges : base range $127,487 to $172,483 per year. The standard starting salary is $149,985, based on minimum qualifications (10 years of relevant experience). More experience may adjust starting pay upward within the range.
  • Geography-adjusted range for Chicago : approximately $131,694.07 to $178,174.94, with starting point around $154,934.50 and max initial around $164,894.69.
  • 100% paid medical, dental, and vision for employees; 60% employer contribution for dependents; 4% matching 401(k); FSAs; Employee Assistance Program.
  • Paid time off : 22 days / year for first three years; additional days after year 3 and year 6; 16 additional paid holidays / floating days.
