Job Description

Summary / objective

The Scale Operator is responsible for weighing incoming and outgoing materials and material pricing.

Essential functions

• Monitor and observe the scrap pile to ensure all materials are correctly placed in their designated areas
• Sort Materials based on their type, condition, and value.
• Assist customers who are dropping off or picking up materials. This may involve providing information, directing traffic, or answering questions.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding salvage yard operations.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including enforcing safety protocols and ensuring that all employees are adhering to environmental regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
