Our client, a leading litigation law firm with offices throughout the Northeast, is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney with Transportation experience to join their team in New York.

The successful candidate will manage their own caseload from start to finish, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, with attention to detail and deadlines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / REQUIREMENTS :

• Collaborate with clients, experts, and attorneys to develop litigation strategies.
• 3 to 5 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in defense.
• Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda to support case strategies.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Strong academic background.
• Experience in drafting and arguing dispositive motions, legal research, and responding to discovery requests.
• Assist in trials and hearings, demonstrating strong advocacy skills.
• Take and defend fact witness and expert depositions, emphasizing attention to detail and communication.
• Focus areas include Transportation, Construction Litigation, and Tort Liability.
