job_description.job_card.job_descriptionEssential Functions Receive all inbound shipments via small package, common carrier, and private carriers Update Navision (ERP) inventory system with quantities received Work with Customer Service to allocate inventory upon receipt Physically remove parts from inbound LTL and small parcel deliveries in a manner the follows all safety guidelines Manage all receiving requirements flagged for quality inspection and ensure proper documentation is retained for verification Ensure all parts are unpacked and checked to ensure quality and accuracy before being delivered to their appropriate warehouse location for assembly Work with the Procurement group to ensure that all receiving discrepancies are adjusted as required Put away parts after received Works closely with the accounting group on discrepancies. Maintain a clean and organized work area following the 5S principles Operate a narrow aisle or sit-down fork truck a plus Follow all safety requirements Other duties, as assigned Position Qualifications : Experience : 1 to 5 years of warehousing experience Forklift license preferred, not required Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, a thorough understanding of inventory control, strong problem-solving skills. Basic Working knowledge of computer systems. Functional Success Drivers : Detail Oriented Independence Organization / Planning Results Oriented Perseverance Patience Physical Requirements : Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, an individual is regularly required to reach with hands and arms, talk and hear, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. This individual will need to be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed (steel toe shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, etc.). While performing essential functions, this role occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and / or humid conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme heat and / or cold, risk of electric shock, and vibration. Job Title : Shipping & Receiving Material Handler
Job Duration : 3 Months Contract – W2 (Positions in Roselle are temp to hire.)
Job Location : 1600 Central Ave., Roselle, Illinois 60172 (Onsite)

- Need to start asap
- This role is temp to hire.
- Candidates with a lot of forklift experience need to understand, they would only be operating the forklift 10% of the time or less.
- PPE Notification : Contractor is responsible for wearing their own steel toed boots, other PPE based on the task being performed will be provided to the contractor on site
- Working Hours : 8AM-4 : 30PM; Working Days : Mon-Fri
- Summary
This is a high energy level position responsible for managing the receipt and internal delivery of materials. This position requires a high level of accuracy processing all shipments receipts into our ERP system. Contact with Accounts Payable and purchasing is key following up with discrepancies.
Education : High School Diploma.
