We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Allen, Texas, on a Contract to permanent basis. This role is ideal for a self-driven individual with strong attention to detail who thrives in a hands-on environment, as it does not involve team management responsibilities. While insurance industry experience is highly valued, candidates with backgrounds in financial services, banking, or investments are equally encouraged to apply. 100% REMOTE role. This is a contract-to-hire position.
Accounting Manager (contract-to-hire) :
Responsibilities :
- Oversee and perform month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage general ledger accounting tasks, including reconciliations and maintenance.
- Prepare and review financial statements to ensure compliance with reporting standards.
- Conduct account reconciliations to resolve discrepancies and maintain accuracy.
- Record and analyze journal entries to support accurate financial records.
- Assist with financial statement audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Handle hands-on bookkeeping tasks to support day-to-day financial operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless financial reporting processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to maintain compliance and best practices.
- A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in insurance, financial services, banking, or investments.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and general ledger processes.
- Experience preparing financial statements and conducting audits.
- Ability to perform detailed account reconciliations.
- Solid understanding of journal entries and bookkeeping practices.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
