American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with strong hepatobiliary, transplant, and neuro / spine / ENT skills for a 13-week day shift assignment.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a large hospital operating room with 17 OR suitesAverage daily census of 20-28 operating casesSchedule is three 12-hour day shifts (6 : 30-19 : 00) with every other weekend requiredOn-call required after shift until 6 : 30 am, with a 45-minute response time; approximately 5-6 call shifts per 6-week periodPotential to float within scope to meet facility needsEpic charting system used; experience with Epic requiredScrubs are provided by the facilityMust provide surgical nursing care for complex and high-acuity proceduresNo block scheduling options are available for this positionNo more than 7 days of requested time off allowed during the contract; no time off permitted during orientationRest period provided post-call; staff may be called in for breaks or shift relief after working on-callPermanent employees must wait one year before returning as a travelerOrientation includes required modules, with up to 16 hours paid for completionCertain parking fees apply depending on shift; orientation parking is not reimbursedAssignments may last up to 18 months with a mandatory 3-month break afterFirst-time travelers with appropriate specialty experience are encouraged to apply\n \n Requirements\n
Active MO or compact RN license; pending license accepted for considerationMinimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience requiredBLS certification requiredExtensive experience in hepatobiliary, Whipple, and abdominal organ transplant surgery requiredProficiency with complex spine, ENT, neuro, and intra-abdominal transplant procedures requiredFirst-time travelers accepted only with experience in neuro / spine / ENT surgeriesMust reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facilityEpic EMR experience required\n Benefits\n
