Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Maintenance Technician for our client. This job involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial equipment, including conveyors, motors, pumps, and hydraulic systems. You’ll replace parts such as bearings, belts, and chains, assist with equipment installation, conduct preventive maintenance, and ensure all machinery operates safely and efficiently.
What’s a Typical Day Like?
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including conveyors, motors, pumps, and hydraulic systems.
- Replace bearings, belts, conveyor belts, and chains to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues quickly and effectively.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for process and equipment improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and parts replacements.
- Assist with the installation, setup, and testing of new machines and equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance according to schedules and company procedures.
- Follow all safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform welding, fabrication, and repair tasks as needed.
- Utilize PLC systems for troubleshooting and preventive maintenance; support basic programming and modifications as required.
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational / technical training preferred.2+ years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance or a related role.Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in conveyor systems, pumps, motors, and hydraulics.Familiarity with PLCs for troubleshooting and minor programming.Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and technical drawings.Basic welding and fabrication skills.Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.Ability to utilize hand / eye coordination.Capability to stand for prolonged periods of timeCommunication skills.Why Choose Kable Workforce Solutions?
