What you will be doing as a Yard Jockey :

• The Yard Jockey, Freight Consolidation is responsible for the movement and repositioning of trailers within the RLS yard.  What you need to land this awesome job :   Education : High School (GED)  Experience : N / A   License or Certification : CDL Class A  Travel requirements : Never  Minimum Physical requirements : Work outside in all four seasons / In & out of tractor constantly  Minimum Behavior requirements : You must Be Humble, Stay Hungry and Live Smart  A day in the life (but not limited to) :   Operate equipment in accordance with company safety policies.  Safely and accurately reposition trailers within the yard and into appropriate doors.  Responsible for the checking and filling yard truck fluids  Responsible for preventive maintenance of yard truck  Attain predetermined performance metrics as outlined by the Warehouse Manager  All other duties as assigned by supervisor, but remember, we work as a team to get the job done.  What you can expect from us (but not limited to) :   Overall work environment : A challenging, fast paced work environment where you can make a difference and grow personally and professionally.  Job specific work environment : Outside utilizing an Ottawa yard tractor  Shift : Wed 6am-5pm, Thurs 6am-4pm, Fri 6am-4pm, Sat 6am-4pm Pay Range :  $24.23 - $26.92 DOE  Goodies : Healthcare, Dental, PTO, 401k with company match  Even more goodies : Team member recognition awards and education opportunities  Reports to and Direct Reports :   This position reports to the Warehouse Manager, Freight Consolidation and has 0 direct reports.  EOE  Powered by JazzHR
