WHC Energy Services – A Surerus Murphy Company (WHC), is seeking to recruit a Planner / Scheduler.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Initiate development and management of project Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules using Primavera P6 in alignment with the scope of work, contract requirements, and company standards, then incorporate feedback from the construction team to finalize and maintain schedules.
• Build and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), work packages, and work package activities.
• Establish baseline schedules, conducting detailed reviews of durations, logic, resource assignments, and resource histograms.
• Implement progress-tracking methodologies and generate accurate schedule reports for management, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Facilitate weekly meetings with Project Managers and project teams to update schedules and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with project teams to assess variances, identify risks, and create accurate forecasts through project completion.
• Work closely with Sector Project Controls Manager to align schedule updates with production goals, task durations, man hours, and earned value metrics.
• Identify deviations or unfavorable trends and escalate issues through proper channels in a timely manner.
• Review scope changes, added work, or delays and perform Time Impact Analyses (TIAs) to assess schedule impacts.
• Provide recommendations and develop strategies for schedule recovery, including leading schedule recovery reviews with the project team.
• Perform “what-if” scenario analyses to support decision-making and risk planning.
• Identify and communicate schedule risks and opportunities, focusing on impacts to project critical path and milestones.
• Understand and enforce contractual requirements. Support project teams in managing scope changes, delay claims, and compensation events by ensuring proper change management procedures are followed and documented.
• Conduct monthly (or as-needed) site visits to audit schedule progress, validate field productivity, and build strong relationships with site teams.
• Maintain accurate schedule documentation in compliance with internal standards and external audit requirements.
• Support business development by assisting in the preparation of proposal schedules, resource plans, and high-level project execution strategies.
• Mentor and support project controls analyst or project engineers in understanding CPM scheduling concepts and Primavera P6 best practices.

Note : In addition to these duties personnel are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required to support the objectives of the company.
