Custodian, Itinerant / 222 Days / 8 Hour Days

Job Summary

Qualifications : 1. Minimum 18 years of age 2. Valid drivers license and insurable for vehicle operation

Job Goal : Performs necessary tasks to maintain a clean, safe, healthy learning / working environment

Essential Functions : 1. Sweeps / vacuums floors 2. Strips, waxes and buffs floors 3. Cleans windows, classrooms, locker rooms, bathrooms and any other rooms 4. Orders, receives and maintains inventory of custodial supplies 5. Performs minor maintenance repairs as necessary 6. Maintains campus landscaping 7. Moderate to heavy lifting, operating power equipment, climbing, driving 8. Performs other related duties as assigned

Duty Days : 222

Salary Range : According to Madison County Schools Salary Schedule. Actual salary will be determined by rank and experience. Current employees with questions regarding step placement on the salary schedule should contact the Personnel Department.
