Job Overview : \n\nJoin a dedicated healthcare team providing life-saving care to pediatric patients in a combined unit of Pediatrics and PICU at a well-established medical center. In this role, you will care for patients in a 26-bed unit, 6 of which are dedicated to intensive care. If you are passionate about delivering high-quality care to vulnerable pediatric patients and are looking for a flexible role that allows you to work at the top of your license, this position is for you.\n\nKey Responsibilities : \n
- Deliver direct patient care to pediatric patients, including those in critical care, following all protocols and best practices.\n
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.\n
- Monitor and assess patients, providing critical interventions when necessary.\n
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans, ensuring continuity of care.\n
- Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions, treatment options, and care plans.\n
- Participate in unit-based practice councils and continuing education opportunities to improve patient care practices.\n\nRequirements : \n
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland.\n
- Associate's degree in Nursing or equivalent diploma.\n
- Minimum of 1 year of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience.\n
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.\n
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 6 months of hire.\n
- Oncology certification required within 1 year of hire.\n\nPreferred Qualifications : \n
- Previous experience in pediatric or intensive care nursing preferred.\n
