Production Planning (Support)

Performs planning and scheduling functions involved with coordinating products and materials through various production phases. Implements planned production schedules, labor loading and capacity requirements. Reviews schedules to determine materials and parts requirements to ensure materials are available according to schedules. Collects and analyzes data and prepares reports including recommendations to meet internal and external demands for materials and finished goods. Expedite flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.

Essential Functions :

  • Coordinates the product and material flow throughout the production floor.
  • Utilizes Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) system to ensure material availability.
  • Manages floor stock of program components.
  • Performs material kitting and assembly close out processes using Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
  • Responsible for coordination and statuses for paperwork instructions.

Qualifications :

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary / Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Preferred Additional Skills :

  • Experience in production or manufacturing facility.
  • Computer and analytical skills combined with the ability to manage large amounts of quantitative data.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to actively listen to customer and plant issues, efficiently troubleshoot problems and implement solutions in a timely and customer focused manner.
  • Demonstrated analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficient organization, conflict management, and adaptable in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Work Environment :

  • Role may involve extended periods of sitting or standing.
