Job Description

Lasata Senior Living Campus located in Cedarburg, WI has an opening for a full time Maintenance Assistant.

Primary Duties :

35% Maintain and repair heating, cooling, plumbing, security and electrical systems. Maintain and repair equipment such as beds, whirlpool tubs, patient lifts, wheelchairs, etc.

30% Interior maintenance including repairing floors, adjusting doors, fixing, changing and replacing lighting, repair of and painting of all interior walls, etc.

20% Completes tasks associated with preventative maintenance programs including weekly door checks, weekly generator test, monthly fire drills, routine equipment inspections (wheelchairs, lifts), monthly audits for safety of bedroom equipment.

10% Exterior maintenance including snow removal and lawn care. Uses campus bus to transport new admissions to the facility.

5% Attends all mandatory in-services relating to safety, infection control, resident rights, etc. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements / Experience :

General Maintenance experience required

HVAC experience preferred but not required.

Must possess the ability to understand and follow directions & read, write and perform simple arithmetic.

Be able to operate mechanical equipment (tractors, mowers) and other general tools to perform the required tasks.

Ability to do and maintain floor care.

Need to be able to interact with tenants in a respectful, courteous manner.

Must posses a valid drivers' license.
