Position : Medical Assistant

Location : Northampton MA

Hours : 40 hours, 5 days / week, Monday-Friday generally between 8 : 00am – 5 : 30pm, with one 9 : 00am-6 : 00pm shift, plus an occasional morning weekend shift for urgent care rotation. Hours may vary depending on department needs. Exact schedule to be discussed at time of interview.

Medical Assistants will work under the supervision of the Nurse Team Leader, and function as a member of the health care team in the delivery of high-quality service. MAs will assist in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management.

Job Responsibilities :

• Prepare patients for their visit by obtaining vitals, patient history, medication reconciliation and reviewing allergies
• Assist with procedures and point-of-care testing
• Ordering necessary tests required for the visit to ensure satisfaction of the QM Tab measures.
• Document encounters in the Electronic Medical Record (Athena)
