Medical Assistant - Urgent Care

Location : North Conway, NH

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our Urgent Care team in North Conway. This is an excellent opportunity for an MA who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety in daily responsibilities, and is passionate about providing quality patient care.

Responsibilities :

Greet and room patients, obtain vital signs, and document medical history.

Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments.

Perform point-of-care testing, administer injections, and collect specimens.

Support efficient patient flow through teamwork and strong communication.

Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).

Ensure clinical areas are stocked, cleaned, and prepared.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education : High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements : Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

License / Certifications : Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification preferred or achieved within 1 year of eligibility. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Fully remote care team members are exempt from BLS certification requirement. A NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.

Experience : Relevant experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
