Electrical Project Manager

Position : Electrical Project Manager (Degreed)

Location : Phenix City, AL

Genesis Technical is seeking a PM with an EE degree from an accredited college or university for a contract assignment in Alabama.

• 5+ years of experience of practicing electrical engineering in an industrial environment. Pulp and Paper industry experience is preferred.
• Ability to work with local electricity providers and the local authorities having jurisdiction.
• Candidate must have previous experience with - 480V and 2300V equipment, including power delivery equipment (transformers, switchboards, panel boards, motor starters, and drives).
• Computer literate, including a strong background in MS Office.
• Determining plant loading and load studies.
• Electrical distribution system inspections, outages, and recovery
• Excellent interpersonal skills - conflict management, coaching, feedback, and problem solving.
• Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.
• Must be assertive and have a strong work ethic
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have strong attention to detail and good decision-making skills.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code and of NPFA-70E, Electrical Safety in the Workplace.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to influence and persuade others.
• Working with consulting engineers.
• Conduct assessment of or respond to electrical process improvement requests. Such requests may include evaluating effective implementation of electrical maintenance quality criteria, improvement of existing processes and infrastructure, crew, and management training needs, and / or testing or launching of new technologies and processes.
• upport bottom line profit and loss improvement in all areas by analyzing electrical maintenance processes for cost reduction, quality, and efficiency improvement.
• Provide technical support for efficient troubleshooting and or problem-solving activities and electrical repair to maximize efficiencies and limit downtime.
