Student Worker Examination No. 21-017
San Diego Superior Court is seeking full-time college students in order to establish a new eligible list of Student Worker employment candidates. The eligible list of candidates resulting from this recruitment will replace the previous list, and may be used to fill Student Worker vacancies in all court locations as they occur and are approved to be filled. Names of qualified candidates are kept on the Student Worker eligible list for six months. After which, students are welcome to re-apply as long as they meet the minimum qualifications and the recruitment is open. Under supervision, Student Workers perform a variety of duties in support of court staff.

Salary placement depends on whether selected candidate is an undergraduate or graduate college student :
Maximum work hours are 20 hours per week (even during spring, summer, and winter breaks).
Minimum Qualifications : Applicants must be full-time college students currently enrolled in at least 9.0 semester units or 12.0 quarter units at an accredited college or university. The minimum unit load requirement is waived for students with a permanent disability.

In addition to the online application, it is also your responsibility to submit the following required documents to Human Resources : (1) A Student Unit Load Verification Form completed by your college / university registrar, verifying that you are currently enrolled in at least 9.0 semester units or 12.0 quarter units of coursework. Please email CourtHR@sdcourt.ca.gov to request the verification form.

(2) Your current official transcript. If your college / university offers an electronic format (e-transcript) and you choose that option, your electronic official transcript may either be included as a PDF attachment to your online application, or emailed directly to Human Resources at CourtHR@sdcourt.ca.gov. An unofficial transcript or JPEG pictures of your transcript will NOT be accepted. For students with a permanent disability, the minimum unit load requirement is waived. However, a letter from a licensed medical physician or the disability support services office of your school verifying your permanent disability status is required.
