About the Role :

The Room Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of guest rooms within the accommodation facility. This position ensures that each room meets the highest standards of hygiene and comfort, contributing directly to guest satisfaction and the establishment's reputation. The Room Attendant is responsible for thorough cleaning, restocking supplies, and reporting any maintenance issues to ensure a seamless guest experience. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to upholding health and safety standards. Ultimately, the Room Attendant helps create a welcoming and pleasant environment that encourages guests to return and recommend the facility to others.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Ability to read and understand instructions and safety guidelines.
  • Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
  • Basic communication skills to interact courteously with guests and team members.
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience working in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, including safe handling procedures.
  • Certification in hospitality or housekeeping training programs.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Multilingual skills to assist a diverse guest population.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms.
  • Replenish room supplies such as toiletries, towels, and minibar items according to hotel standards.
  • Inspect rooms for maintenance issues and report any damages or safety hazards to the maintenance team.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment and chemicals are used safely and stored properly.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests related to room cleanliness and comfort.
  • Skills :

    The required skills such as attention to detail and physical stamina are essential for performing thorough cleaning and maintaining high standards of hygiene daily. Communication skills enable the Room Attendant to interact effectively with guests and colleagues, ensuring requests and issues are addressed promptly.
