Job Overview
Join our team in "Doing the Most Good" as a Production Assistant / Driver at our Adult Rehabilitation Center. We're seeking a professional and courteous driver to transport materials to and from specified destinations. This role is essential in representing The Salvation Army while providing exceptional service to our donors and maintaining efficient operations.
Pay Rate : $20.00
Status : Full Time, 40 Hours per Week
Key Responsibilities
Transportation & Logistics
- Follow scheduled routing procedures efficiently
- Drive Salvation Army truck for pickups and deliveries
- Ensure security and safe handling of all goods and materials
- Perform daily pre and post-trip inspections of vehicles
- Maintain equipment in excellent working order
- Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations
Customer Service
Act as a personal representative of The Salvation ArmyEnsure all donors are treated courteously and respectfullyCommunicate donation acceptance policy with donorsReport any pickup problems to dispatcherMaintain professional appearance per ARC dress codeOperations Support
Use DSS program and assigned iPad apps effectivelySupport beneficiaries in work therapy goals through training and mentoringHandle loading and unloading of trucks as neededWear all assigned PPE including gloves, masks, and back guardReport any safety or security concerns immediatelyQualifications
Education & Experience
High School Degree or equivalentAt least two years licensed driving experienceMust pass pre-employment DOT screen, drug test, and background checkSkills & Abilities
Strong communication skills in EnglishBasic computer skills including payroll systemProficiency with mobile applicationsBasic math skillsExcellent manual dexterityProfessional demeanor and customer service orientationRequired Certifications
Valid Driver's LicenseClear MVR reportSuccessful completion of required testingPhysical Requirements
