Aerojet-Rocketdyne Coleman Aerospace, an L3Harris Technologies Company, is seeking a Chief Program Engineer at our Orlando, FL location. Coleman Aerospace is a prime tactical and strategic missile target system provider supporting ballistic missile defense testing. High-Fidelity Air-Launched one, two, and three stage ballistic missile targets are their primary product line. Coleman's capabilities range from the precision assembly of large missile structures, to telemetry, avionics, networks, cold gas control systems, flight termination control modules, advanced vehicle guidance systems, environmental stress screening, qualification and acceptance testing. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for leading Engineering tasks that establish and manage design requirements; and will verify product designs meet all operating requirements for fabrication, test, flight, and life cycle disposal environments. This opening is for a Chief Program Engineer (CPE) responsible for providing technical oversight to all Integrated Product Teams (IPT) working on the development, verification, and production of system.

Essential Functions :

• Provide Technical Oversight to all Integrated Product Teams (IPT) working on a system's development, verification, and production tasks. Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams' work and manage technical progress, risk, schedule, and cost as needed.
• Provide communication of program status to the Engineering Director, Program Manager, and Senior Staff. Program status includes overall program health, technical design and development results, risk management status, schedule and cost reporting. Responsible for overseeing / directing preparation of technical reports, presentations, and customer design reviews.
• Utilize organizational skills to effectively coordinate schedules and work flow utilizing the knowledge of operations (manufacturing, engineering, test, etc.) as required to accomplish assigned activities and an understanding of business management systems.
• Provide technical consultation to Program Management and Business Development organizations for business development activities such as writing white papers or preparing and presenting technical briefings to customers.
• Provide technical support on proposals to government customers or prime contractors for engineering development or technology programs.
