Job Title : Supplier Process Engineer, Electronics

Position Description : Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Supplier Process Engineer, Electronics opportunity with our client located in Peachtree Corners, GA.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with our suppliers, design, manufacturing, and project teams to launch new products; implement performance, quality, capacity, and cost improvements
• Own new products during pilot production phase through successful and sustained project launch
• Establish milestones and success criteria for responsible projects within our suppliers. Drive decisions and escalate key issues quickly maintaining stakeholder alignment
• Select the right process and suppliers for the part, considering long term fit and total cost of ownership
• Develop suppliers to excel in all KPIs including Supplier owned quality, capacity, and sub-tier management
• Empower suppliers to own completion of part qualification deliverables : pFMEA, Special process validations, FAI and Cpk studies, DFx, Operational metrics, capacity and cost analysis
• Own and drive to closure supplier variances from symptom through root cause analysis to corrective action, including succinct CAPA / SCAR documentation
• Provide technical support for failure analysis of discrepant production components, assemblies, and field returns. Lead investigations where appropriate
• Lead / participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on material cost reduction, capacity enhancement, streamlining of supply chain, and commodity strategy
• Clearly communicate project status to key stakeholders
• Understand proper level of documentation detail for tracking of actions and justification of decisions
• Generate key metrics for the team and suppliers, and continually drive for timely achievement of those metrics
