Overview
Instrument / Analyzer Technician (Delaware City Refining Company) Description : The Instrument / Analyzer Technician is responsible to troubleshoot, repair, and install complex instrument and process monitoring equipment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and install complex instrument and process monitoring equipment.
- Read and interpret Schematic Drawings, Wiring and Interconnect Diagrams, Loop Drawings, P&ID's, Process Flow Diagrams, Logic Diagrams, and ISA symbols.
- Troubleshoot, install, calibrate, repair, and maintain flow, level, pressure, differential pressure, and temperature transmitters, transducers, controllers, control valves, and regulators.
- Maintain Allen-Bradley PLCs, Foxboro Distributed Control Systems – I / A Series, GSI tank level gauging, and safety interlocks.
- Work with diagnostic and test equipment such as voltmeters, ammeters, and megger.
- Be willing to work a 12-hour rotating shift, including some weekends and holidays, and be willing to work overtime when required.
- Coordinate work and function as a team member to complete tasks; perform incidental tasks in other crafts as needed; participate in training programs to maintain or upgrade skills.
- Have working knowledge of equipment and tools required for efficient installation and repair of refinery equipment.
- Possess physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Perform physically-active assignments including work on high structures and within confined spaces; work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Qualifications – Basic / Required
Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.First Class Instrument Mechanic work experience and First Class Instrument Mechanic skills.Five (5) years of equivalent experience in a refinery or petrochemical operations is preferred.Valid driver's license; High School Diploma or equivalent.Computer skills (Microsoft Office / Outlook) and experience in other systems such as SAP.Eligible to qualify for or hold a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.Other Details
