Key Responsibilities :

Teach beginner and intermediate swim lessons, emphasizing safety and foundational skills.
Communicate regularly with parents to share student progress and address any concerns.
Maintain a safe and organized environment during lessons, consistently adhering to safety protocols.

Expectations :

Maintain positive student and parent relationships.

Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and adapt to curriculum updates.

Requirements : Qualifications :

6 months of swim instruction experience is preferred but not required.

Strong communication skills for effectively interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.

Certifications :

Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certifications preferred.

If not certified, the candidate must be able to meet the requirements to pass Lifeguard certification, including :

Swimming at least 200 yards continuously.

Treading water for 2 minutes.

Retrieving a 10-pound brick from the bottom of the pool and swimming with it above the surface.

Skills and Attributes :

Strong communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and colleagues.

A caring, compassionate approach with children and adults.

Ability to work in the water for up to 5-hour periods.

A positive attitude and openness to feedback and coaching.

Ability to focus and perform well in a fast-paced environment.

Commitment :

Must be able to commit to at least one year of employment.

Afternoon and weekend availability required.
