Transplant Hepatologist

The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology is seeking an additional Transplant Hepatologist at Main Campus, Henry Ford Health, Detroit, Michigan.  This is an outstanding opportunity to join the largest liver transplant program in Michigan.  This person would join a well-established team of 9 hepatologists and 6 transplant surgeons who perform over 120 liver transplants per year.  Our team has a well-established record of accomplishment in patient care, teaching and clinical research.

Henry Ford Medical Group is one of the nation’s largest group practices with 1,900 physicians and researchers in more than 40 specialties.  Henry Ford Health is a Michigan not-for-profit corporation and one of the nation’s leading comprehensive, integrated health systems.  It provides health insurance and health care delivery including acute, specialty, primary and preventive care services at 5 hospitals and 30 Henry Ford medical centers. The System has over 3.2 million outpatient visits and more than 88,800 surgical procedures performed annually.

The candidate must be board certified in Gastroenterology and have experience in Hepatology and liver transplantation.  Responsibilities will include evaluation and management of patients with liver disease and liver transplantation, teaching of fellows, residents and students in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, evaluation of transplant candidates and participation in the clinical research efforts of the Division and Transplant Institute.  Academic appointment is available through affiliation with Michigan State University and will be commensurate with training and experience.
