ChristianaCare Hospital is seeking an RN to work for our 6B Medical Unit. This position requires the candidate selected to work a 3–12-hour Shift. As a medical nurse, you will engage in a relationship-based care model, building relationships with patients, their families, and your peers, guided by our values of love and excellence

Unit :

6B is a 40-bed medical inpatient unit located in the B Tower on the 6th floor of the Christiana Campus in Newark, DE, which provides acute medical care on a 24-hour basis. 6B is designed to accommodate patients who need acute and / or chronic medical services.

Scope of Services :

The scope of services on 6B encompasses a variety of diagnoses / testing including, but not limited to pneumonia, syncope, diabetes management, chronic obstruction pulmonary disease (COPD), and altered mental status.

The patient population cared for in this area includes adults 18 years of age and up. The conditions of patients on the unit can be described as good to fair. The patients are received / transferred / admitted from the emergency department, ICU, step-down, home, and doctors’ offices.

Staffing :

Daily assignments are made by the charge nurse and reflect consideration of the patient’s diagnosis, condition, acuity, age, developmental level, and staff qualifications.
