Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring Indiana or compact licensure, C-section experience, and PACU skills.

Responsibilities

Work in a short-term acute care hospital Operating Room with 104 staffed beds

Day shift schedule : 5x8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday (07 : 00-15 : 30)

Call requirement : minimum one weekend per month from Friday evening to Monday morning

Candidates may float within scope to meet facility needs, limited to tasks and not full assignments

Immediate familiarity with orthopedic procedures is required

Uses Meditech EMR system; experience is preferred

Scrubs are provided for staff

First-time travelers are accepted for this position

Local candidates accepted; local travelers (within 50 miles) receive a different rate

Return staff policy requires a 3-year gap before returning as a traveler

Candidates are required to complete up to 8 hours of onboarding modules within one week of signing

Holiday coverage requires willingness to work one of three major holidays if RTO is requested during that period

Requirements

Active IN or compact RN license required before start

Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required

Certifications required : ACLS, BCLS, and PALS

Experience circulating in the OR as well as PACU experience required

C-section experience required

Familiarity with orthopedic operating room procedures required
