Job Description
We are a full-time ALS service for Mobridge and surrounding communities for 911 calls. We also provide transfers from Mobridge Regional Hospital to larger facilities. Our team of emergency professionals also provide assistance in the ER with opportunities to assist in other areas of the hospital
In an attempt to accommodate any schedule our EMS staff can work both 12hr and 24hr shifts, with consecutive shifts available for less travel. For those Housing is available for those that travel to work
Requirements
- All positions require Certification / Licensure with the State Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners and NREMT. All EMS positions require a valid driver’s license with a driving record that falls within company policy.
- Must have BLS or obtain upon hire or obtain as soon as it is offered. Other certifications desired are ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, PHTLS. These certifications are offered to employees in the EMS department. Monthly training for CEUs is also provided.
- Must be able to carry out effective principles and methods of emergency medical services. All staff should have the ability to handle sometimes difficult and stressful situations, communicate effectively, and work as a valued team member.
- EMS has state-of-the-art equipment to include Hamilton Vents, Glide scopes, LifePak 15 as well as power lifts.
- Collaborate with physicians, other healthcare professionals and emergency personnel in a variety of situations.
- Computer proficiency is needed as is part of a sophisticated EMR System.

Must be a registered nurse with a current licensure to practice nursing in the state.Minimum of two-years experience, prefen-ed at least one of which is in the area of public health or home health nursing but not required.Current valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Maintains a current CPR certification.Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.Demonstrates excellent observation, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills; nursing skills per competency checklist.Shows ability to organize and prioritize workload independently.Management experience not required. May be responsible for supervising home health aides.Maintains responsibility to develop professional self-attend seminars, and identify self -learning needs, collaborates with agency leaders in meeting learning needs. PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS : Prolonged or considerable walking or standing. Able to lift, position, or transfer clients. Able to lift supplies and equipment. Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, or crouching. Visual acuity and hearing to perform required nursing skills.
