In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. Job Description

Our stations produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news weekly, leveraging viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for FOX Network’s national content. FOX 2 Detroit is committed to delivering top-tier sports, entertainment, and news coverage to our audience.

Fox 2 News (WJBK) has an immediate full-time job opening for a Photographer / Editor who will shoot and edit spot news, feature stories and sports.

Key Responsibilities

• The candidate will perform LiveU live shots from in and around the Detroit area on an expected daily basis.
• Candidate must demonstrate high caliber news photography shooting and editing skills.
• Candidate must be able to shoot and edit sometimes multiple packages per day in the field and demonstrate they are technically sound with the editing software Edius.
• Candidate must be able to lift over fifty (50) pounds of equipment, walk carrying a tripod, batteries and Live U backpack.
• Individual must also communicate and work well with Assignment Desk, Writers, and Reporters.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate / range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $24.66-33.44 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical / dental / vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
