Non-Invasive Cardiologist - AdventHealth East Orlando

Overview

AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join our growing practice at AdventHealth East Orlando in the Fall of 2026. This physician will help support the East Orlando market in association with physicians and advanced practice providers at our East Orlando hospital campus and three clinic locations. The physician would also have call coverage at the East Orlando hospital in rotation with practice partners and other community cardiology physicians.

Requirements for the position : Board Certification in Internal Medicine with subspecialty board certification in Cardiovascular Disease. High caliber, quality focused, innovative physicians should apply. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

The AdventHealth Heart, Lung & Vascular Institute is one of the busiest centers of its kind in the nation. We are a leading provider of cardiovascular and thoracic services among Medicare patients with national rankings that include : #1 in Cardiology volume, #1 in Vascular Surgery volume, #5 in Thoracic Surgery volume and #8 in Open Heart Surgery volume. The AH CVI is centered in a tertiary facility known as AdventHealth Orlando within the Ginsburg Tower. This 15-story sanctuary of healing offers patients a full range of comprehensive heart and vascular care, including 12 hybrid operating rooms housing electrophysiology, vascular and invasive cardiology.

Practice Description

This is an employment opportunity part of AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG). AHMG is a sister organization of AdventHealth which employs over 700 physicians in nearly 70 specialties. This opportunity includes the benefits of call coverage and competitive compensation. Hospital Description

AdventHealth East Orlando, a 295-bed full-service community hospital became part of the Adventist Health System in 1991. We are proud to serve approximately 180,000 patients annually, which include more than 16,500 inpatients and 79,330 outpatients at AdventHealth East Orlando. In addition, our emergency visits totaled over 100,000 for the last several years.

As a part of one of the fastest growing communities in Central Florida, our hospital caters to the east Orange County population. This market consists of the popular Waterford Lakes, Avalon Park, Lake Nona and University of Central Florida areas. As our community continues to broaden, so does Florida Hospital East Orlando with our recent 200,000 square foot $80 million expansion project. It also has expanded Radiology, Imaging and Cardiopulmonary departments. Current expansion plans include the completion of a second cath lab and remodel of the existing cath lab. This $6 million investment was completed in 2018. In addition to new and improved cath labs, East Orlando opened two new advanced MR machines that provide state of the art image quality, provide a better patient experience and increase access for physicians.

AdventHealth East Orlando is the primary campus for approximately 275 physicians who can utilize our four, new inpatient surgical suites as well as our new technologically advanced 13,500 square foot Outpatient Surgery Center. Our specialized services include : Cardiovascular Institute, Cancer Institute, Orthopedic Institute, Respiratory Care, Center for Family Care, Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging, Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine, Men's and Women's Health Programs, Women's Health Pavilion, Hospice Care, Seizure Monitoring, Telemedicine Program, Digestive Health Services, Primary Stroke Center and Sleep Disorders Center.
