Position Overview :
We are seeking a Part-Time Accountant to support ongoing accounting operations across multiple client accounts within the MVB family. This salaried, part-time role is ideal for a detail-oriented, self-motivated accounting professional who is comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with a remote team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO), strong reconciliation skills, and a process-driven mindset. This role averages 20 hours per week with flexibility in schedule.
Key Responsibilities :
- Enter vendor bills and manage weekly accounts payable activities
- Perform monthly and interim bank reconciliations
- Complete credit card reconciliations and clean transaction feeds
- Apply bill payments and post recurring journal entries
- Review / process weekly accounting documents and uploads
- Accept and categorize transactions in bank and credit card registers
- Enter missing vendor names and account coding in feeds
- Import bank and credit card transactions when necessary
- Reconcile and true up loan balances
- Run recurring financial reports and send to team members
- Enter annual budgets into QBO and assist with budget updates
- Maintain organized and accurate client financial records
Qualifications :
Minimum 23 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience in a client service or small business environment; experience working in a fractional accounting or bookkeeping firm a plus!Proficient in QuickBooks Online (QBO)Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and reconciliationsExperience with journal entries and general ledger maintenanceExcellent organizational skills and high attention to detailAbility to manage multiple client accounts and prioritiesStrong communication skills and comfort working in a remote teamMust pass a criminal background checkMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorshipWhat We Offer :
