Hosted Solutions Director
SUMMARY :
This position is responsible for the design, support, implementation, and management of the health systems hosted by private cloud solutions. Other administrative duties apply, including, but not limited to : budgeting, cost containment, policy and procedure development, and strategic planning.
Other duties include :
- Direct supervision and management of the daily functions of the department. Which includes :
- Interviewing and hiring new staff.
- Ensuring that new employees and annual evaluations are thorough and given in a timely manner.
- Effecting any necessary employee comments and dismissal action in conjunction with the Director of Human Resources.
- The training of new employees and on-going on-the-job training with all staff.
- Reviewing all time sheets to ensure they are properly filled out and submit them in a timely manner for staff assigned to his / her department.
- Scheduling staff working hours and assigning staff to areas to provide adequate coverage within the Agency's requirements without previously authorized overtime.
- Periodic direct observation of staff performance and providing feedback to staff on their performance.
- Managing / Running team meetings within their department.
- Consulting with software and hardware vendors and other establishment workers to solve problems impeding computer processing.
- Meeting with users to determine quality of service and identify needs.
- Design, implement, support, and manage the health system wide IT specialty area assigned to you by the CIO.
- Provide IT support to all affiliate end users in the regions assigned.
- Provide IT support for affiliate IT systems and software in the regions assigned.
- Ensure all affiliate hardware and software security settings are maintained as specified by JHS Policy.
- Maintain all affiliate Active Directory standards as outlined by JHS Policy.
- Ensure affiliate end users are following JHS IT related policies.
- Create and maintain internal procedures for the deployment and support of affiliate systems.
- Create and maintain documentation on solutions to affiliate problems and ensure documentation is completed timely.
- Supervising regional technicians and ensuring they meet productivity user satisfaction standards.
- Participating in strategic planning related to the organizations information technology infrastructure.
- Managing related projects and adhering to budget constraints.
- Coordinate with vendors to identify solutions and resolve issues in timely manner.
- Assisting help desk staff with resolving issues and documenting resolutions in tickets.
QUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
Associate Degree in information technology or related field required.Minimum of 5 years experience supporting end users and critical information systems.Minimum of 5 years experience managing virtual server environments.Minimum of 5 years experience managing backup and recovery solutions.Experience with developing budgets, Policies and procedures, and strategic planning is preferred.BENEFITS :
