Summary :
The Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) provides individual and group counseling services to clients with substance use disorders. Responsibilities include assessment, treatment planning, counseling, and collaboration with clinical staff to support clients' recovery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Provide individual and group therapy to clients with mental health and substance use needs.
Offer appropriate services to meet client needs, drawing from a range of strategies and interventions designed to help individuals recover from or manage their condition(s).
Function as part of a multi-disciplinary team using good judgement, critical thinking, and customer services skills.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clients’ needs and goals.
Use evidence-based therapeutic techniques to support clients' recovery.
Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients’ substance use history, mental health status, and treatment needs.
Monitor clients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Work closely with clinical staff to ensure coordinated care and comprehensive support for clients.
Communicate regularly with external agencies, service providers, and community resources.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and reports.
Complete all required reports and paperwork in a timely manner.
Attend and participate in staff training, work teams, and meetings as directed.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
Serves as a resource throughout the facility at all levels of care.
Provides back-up services in emergency situations and as needed.
Follow HIPAA and 42 CFR confidentiality requirements.
Strictly abide by all agency and program policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory :
This position does not oversee staff.

Education / Experience
Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field.
Licensed as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC).
Previous experience in substance use counseling.
