Security Officer - Healthcare Roving Unarmed Patrol

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Roving Unarmed Patrol in Tarrytown, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while your commitment to exceptional customer service and clear communication will enhance the overall experience. Pay Rate : $28.61 - $29.61 / Hour

Job Schedule :

Day Time Mon 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Tue 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Wed 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Thur 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Fri 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or potential issues.
  • Observe and report any security-related irregularities or suspicious activity within the location.
  • Assist visitors, staff, and patients as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and / or emergency personnel as required by site protocols.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, patrols, and daily activities as directed by Allied Universal guidelines.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must possess a valid EMT certification.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and / or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
