Description
This position is responsible for performing mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles and heavy equipment in the Truck Driving and Diesel Technology programs. This position will perform routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate repairs as needed to ensure that equipment remains in excellent condition.

Minimum Qualifications
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
Knowledge of specialized equipment, practices, and tools required for assigned program vehicles and equipment maintenance
Ability to think critically by applying problem solving practices
Effective interpersonal communication skills - oral, written, technical and non-technical information, and listening
Strong customer service skills, working with individuals from diverse backgrounds
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues
Ability to work independently, as part of a team and / or with minimal supervision
Basic level of proficiency with computer software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations and / or publishing
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS - LEVEL I :
Minimum of two (2) years' work experience of diesel repair diagnosis and heavy equipment repair. Proven experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in Truck Driving and Diesel Technology, or similar field
ASE certifications preferred

Employment offer and continued employment is contingent upon a valid Wisconsin driver's license and acceptable driving record
Valid CDL-A license required
