Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a General Ultrasound Technologist (RVT required) for a night shift position working with neonatal through geriatric patients in a community hospital.
Responsibilities
Work in a community hospital setting with a total of 240 staffed beds and a 16-bed ICUUnit assignment is General Ultrasound with patient population ranging from neonates and infants to adults and geriatricsProcedures include abdominal aorta, liver, pancreas, pediatric abdomen / pelvis, OB / GYN (including first trimester, multiple pregnancies, placenta previa, umbilical cord Doppler), neonatal abdomen / pelvis / renal / bladder / head / heart, renal / pelvis, small parts, and a comprehensive range of vascular studiesTransjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) and transplant studies (liver, renal) performedWorks with Philips ultrasound equipmentUses Epic charting system; Epic experience is requiredShift is Wednesday and Thursday nights (18 : 30-07 : 00) and Saturday days (07 : 00-19 : 30) in a blocked scheduleFirst-time travelers are accepted for this positionNo floating required outside the assigned department or to sister facilitiesNo on-call responsibilities or weekend requirement beyond scheduled shiftsDrug screening and labs must be completed as part of onboarding and compliance; failed or diluted drug screens may affect eligibility for assignmentUp to 7 days of requested time off (RTO) is permittedCompletion of 10-15 hours of required compliance modules is mandatory prior to start, with additional orientation modules factored into initial trainingFree parking is available onsiteLocal candidates within a 50-mile radius are considered local and not eligible for travel payNo travel partners accepted for this assignmentRequirements
Active ARDMS, RVT, and BLS certifications requiredARDMS AB and ARDMS OB / GYN certifications preferredMinimum of 2 years recent specialty experience, including 1 year of in-specialty experience within the past 12 months without employment gaps greater than 90 daysExperience in a teaching hospital or Trauma Level II setting preferredMust be proficient in neonatal, OB / GYN, adult, and vascular ultrasound procedures as detailedExperience using Philips equipment and Epic EMR requiredTwo professional references required, with at least one from a supervisor and all references from within the past yearBoth Kansas and Missouri or compact license must be in hand at time of consideration; license required if applicableBenefits
