American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of experience in cardiac and vascular procedures, ARRT or RCIS certification, and strong skills in both scrub and imaging roles.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an acute care cardiac catheterization lab with 3 Cath / IR suites, 1 hybrid room, and 7 holding roomsTypical caseload is approximately 16 cases per day covering PCI, diagnostic LHC / RHC, pacemaker implants, vascular, interventional radiology, mediports, dialysis catheters, and AAA stentingProcedures utilize specialized equipment including impella, IABP, shockwave, IVUS, FFR, IFR, swans, and rotablatorUses GE MacLab EMR with a planned switch to Philips Xper in 2026; charting is currently completed in Cerner SoarianThree 12-hour day shifts per week (0530-1800), with varied weekday on-call and one weekend call every 2-3 weekendsHoliday call rotation may be required and call response time is 30 minutesTeam consists of 2 RNs and 2 techs per lab, with additional support from a charge nurseNo floating requiredDuties include performing scrub or imaging roles during cath lab procedures, participating in a four-person team, and supporting complex cardiac and vascular interventionsTechs do not typically monitor or document on patients2-3 scheduled orientation shifts with a preceptor providedRoyal blue scrubs are providedMay be asked to participate in holiday call rotationNo local travelers accepted; must reside outside a 50-mile radiusReturning candidates must not have worked at a WVU Medicine location within the past 2 years and tenure as a traveler within WVU cannot exceed 1 year in total\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience requiredMust be proficient in both scrub and imaging rolesCurrent BLS (AHA) certification requiredCertified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification requiredExperience with interventional radiology and peripheral vascular cases requiredExperience with equipment such as impella, IABP, shockwave, IVUS, FFR, IFR, swans, and rotablator requiredFamiliarity with Cerner Soarian and GE MacLab EMR required; willingness to adapt to Philips Xper in the futureLicense required if applicable\n Benefits\n
