Human Resources Director
Arc of Acadiana seeks an experienced Human Resources Director to develop and lead the organization's talent strategy, ensuring legal compliance, employee engagement, and culture alignment with the mission.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Human Resources Department in creating strategic HR policies, initiatives, and programs that support organizational goals and a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to assess staffing, recruiting, retention, and compensation needs, and execute best practices for talent acquisition and workforce planning.
- Oversee the administration of human resource programs—including recruitment, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, investigations, performance and talent management, rewards & recognition, occupational health & safety, and training & development.
- Plan, develop, and implement policies, processes, training, and initiatives to support HR compliance, strategy, and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment laws, interpreting and applying them to organizational situations.
- Design and execute employee development programs, conduct exit interviews, benchmark market-based compensation, and maintain accurate job descriptions for each position.
- Conduct research and analysis of HR trends, reviews of HRIS and talent management metrics, and monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Facilitate professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff and represent HR in professional societies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.Five years professional level experience in Human Resources, with at least two years in a senior HR leadership role.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and at least one HRIS and talent management system.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and supervisory skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing needs.Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation, organization, and time-management skills.Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR credential highly preferred.Arc of Acadiana is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
