We are seeking to fill the role of
Payment Specialist III
- . The ideal candidate enjoys collaborating with clients, industry partners and internal teams to maximize outcomes for homeowners.
Responsibilities
Process and post specialized funds accurately and efficiently which may include monthly mortgage payments, payoffs, bankruptcy funds, claim funds, foreclosure, and loss mitigation fundsReview, decision, and process exception payments / funds as required. (Lockbox, Ebox, Third-Party funds, Wires, Overnights, Suspense funds, etc)Research complex payment discrepancies and unidentified payments and resolve escalated issues related to paymentsMonitor various daily reports, processing all applicable fundsReview and process workflow queues ensuring completion of requestsResearch and resolve outstanding items in clearing accountsRun MSP scripts and / or mass trans as neededCollaborate with other departments as needed to ensure accurate payment processingBalance daily transactions for end of day processing to ensure data accuracyDeposit checks into bank clearing accounts as neededEscalate critical or significant issues, or unusual circumstances, to leadership and follow through to resolutionEnsure compliance with all applicable regulations and company policiesAll other duties as assignedQualifications
Associates Degree or 3+ years of experience in mortgages / accounting / finance / banking3+ years of experience in mortgage operationsProficient with Microsoft Office applications – specifically Excel and OutlookAbility to manage time and priorities wisely and adapt to frequently changing processes and proceduresAbility to work in a high-volume and time-sensitive environmentAbility to work independently with minimal direction and effectively meet deadlinesAbility to work collaboratively with peers in a team environment to attain common goalsAbility to communicate effectively in writing, in person, and by telephone with all levels of the organizationAbility to maintain strict confidentialityDesired Skills and Qualifications
