Description :

We are currently working on a scope for this unit.

It has been functioning as an overflow department opening and closing based on the needs to offload the ED and staffing availability.

Currently, it is being staffed with a Resource Pool and others reassigned from other departments.

Going forward, we are looking to hire specifically for this department.

This does not mean that someone would never be reassigned elsewhere.

It is a 12-bed Medical / Surgical department.

Ratios would not be higher than 1 : 6 and that is if the department is at capacity.
