Mental Health Specialist

Healthcare Recruiters seeks onsite 4 Qualified Mental Health Professionals / Mental Health Specialists (QMHP / MHS) for our client's Behavioral Health facilities in OREGON one in Heppner and two in Boardman (located in Morrow County) and one in Arlington located in Gilliam / Wheeler County).

JOB DESCRIPTION

The QMHP / MHS II, III, or IV provides culturally competent and appropriate behavioral health treatment to individuals of all ages with all types of diagnosis. The position works closely with other involved community partners and is professional in all aspects of service delivery.

Additionally, this position assists administration in meeting the behavioral health needs of the community. Depending upon location, this position is supervised by the Clinical Supervisor, Clinical Director or Site Manager.

SOME RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Provide clinical services to children, adults and families. This would include but is not limited to screening, assessment, individual and group therapy, consultation, and all other allowed clinical services.
• Actively participate in joint case planning and coordination with agency employees and relevant agency contractors. Act as a liaison between clients and other agencies. Act as a client advocate when appropriate.
• Actively participate in group and individual supervision sessions.
• Work with other staff and community representatives to initiate new programs, reviews, evaluates and revises existing programs, as necessary.
• Provide after-hours emergency services on a 24-hour, rotating basis to adults and children. This includes telephone consultation and crisis intervention in the community.
• Provide intensive children's treatment services.
• Utilize agency software / computer systems to prepare current client records of treatment and reports as necessary and required.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Requires a doctorate degree from an accredited college in social work, psychology or other human service-related field, or a Master's degree with accompanying certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

Requires a Master's degree from an accredited college in social work, psychology or other human service-related field.

Requires Bachelor's degree and enrolled or willing to enroll in a Master's program within 4 months of hire.
