The Cardiology Physician position offers an opportunity for a board-certified or board-eligible cardiologist with cardiac critical care experience to join a skilled team in Hartford, CT. The role involves caring for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, including pre- and postoperative care, heart transplants, and management of advanced mechanical circulatory support. Candidates will be involved in placing chest tubes and performing bronchoscopy, in a high-volume cardiac surgery environment known for excellent post-transplant survival rates.

Rewarding opportunity for a BC / BE Cardiologist with Cardiac Critical Care experience and / or training to join a team of collegial and highly trained Cardiac ICU staff in Hartford, CT.

Position Highlights :

• Care for patients with complex cardiovascular disease which can include pre- and postoperative care, heart transplant and / or a Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD), and acute mechanical circulatory support (ECMO and intra-aortic balloon pumps) and cardiogenic shock
• Successful candidate will be able to place chest tubes and perform bronchoscopy
• The critical care unit is staffed with highly trained advanced practitioners and fellows
• The Cardiac Surgery service performs approximately 1500 surgeries per year and has one of the highest post-transplant survival rates in the nation
