Strategic Partner for Americas Executive Team
As a strategic partner to the broader Americas Executive team and the SVP, GSA Sales you will support Vertiv's Global Strategic Accounts (GSA) organization the growth engine serving our largest AI-focused customers. You will work at the cutting edge of AI infrastructure, as the industry experiences unprecedented capital investment, owning initiatives that directly drive orders, revenue, and margin accretion. Working alongside the Americas Global Team you will help the business design, implement, and communicate enhancements to the organizations' strategy, productivity, performance, and long-term profitability.
While the specific job deliverables will vary according to unique project and integration needs, you will have the broad skills needed to exercise strong analytical, critical thinking, governance, and program management capabilities while helping to solve complex problems and communicate plans and progress. You will work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment that exposes you to a variety of experiences across the organization while you develop business skills and increase the bandwidth and velocity of the GSA Strategy Team as the organization attempts to capture unparalleled top-line growth.
This position requires extensive interaction and collaboration across business functions and all levels of staff including senior executives, business leaders, and subject-matter-experts. You will work independently and collaboratively with a cross-functional team, including collaboration and networking with peer-level counterparts across the Vertiv network of Strategic Planners. Once established, this role may offer rotational opportunities across other Strategy functions within the organization (e.g., Americas Strategy & Portfolio Growth, Corporate Strategy, Product / BU Strategic Planning).
Essential Job Functions

- Strategic execution : Engage with key stakeholders in the Americas, Corporate Strategy & Planning, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Product Lines, Finance and other functions to execute high visibility projects that support the Company's top initiatives.
- Business results : Desire to understand, influence, and support management of GSA orders and sales throughout the opportunity identification to order conversion lifecycle.
Principal Responsibilities
30% - Provide program support for strategic initiatives, including the broader GSA strategic planning process
Provide hands-on project support for prioritized initiatives led by senior members of the GSA Strategy Team; activities may include conducting market research, collecting and analyzing feedback, performing financial analysis, supporting brainstorming sessions, and compiling recommendations while being exposed to key leaders and subject experts across the business.Drive program management and governance processes to keep key strategic projects on track to ensure they meet business requirements and goals; track key action items and project milestones to support on-time program delivery.Prioritize the business portfolio of strategic initiatives to develop complete programs, including an understanding of costs, anticipated benefits, risks, and interdependencies.Establish measurement criteria to monitor the performance of established strategies, drive governance to review progress, and action countermeasures as necessary.Support subject matter experts in documenting processes to support activities and drive improvement.30% - Support day-to-day management of GSA sales function
Own monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts for orders and sales across GSA accounts, leveraging latest market intel and customer insights.Support demand planning analysis for large programmatic opportunities across GSA accounts, coordinating plans to support revenue and volume demand with Operations, Procurement, and Product BUs.Lead development of account planning materials for Global Account Directors, including market intelligence, key opportunities, threats to Vertiv position, and asks of the Business.Conduct share of wallet analysis across GSA Accounts, identifying products and business units that represent the greatest opportunity for share gain potential with specific customers.Provide oversight and supplementary review to Sales pipeline management, ensuring that pipeline appropriately reflects customer demand signals and confidence levels.20% - Drive integration efforts for strategic acquisitions in the Americas
Pressure-test deal theses (market / tech fit, customer overlap, cost-to-serve, services pull-through), build integration hypotheses, and quantify synergy range.Partner with M&A and executive-leadership to formulate the integration approach, operational structure, and key milestones / metrics for each acquisition.Partner with business leaders to define workstream objectives and plans to launch holistic post-acquisition integration activities to maximize value, with a key focus on scaling for rapid growth.Be proactive and define the long-term integration roadmap to stay ahead of day-to-day tactical activities and communicate vision to all stakeholders.Drive day-to-day execution of the integration process, including influencing cross-functional teams, managing weekly integration team meetings and driving proactive issue resolution.20% - Develop executive communication for internal and external purposes
Develop concise executive-level presentations and communications to drive timely and informed decision making.Partner with internal teams to identify core messages for delivery; unify messaging across the Americas region to ensure alignment for key deliverables.Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Technology / Operations preferred; MBA preferred.7+ years of experience, including tenure in a top-tier management consulting firm, Corporate Strategy / FP&A / Operations, PE Ops, or high-performing rotational program.Exceptional written and oral skills communication skillsAdvanced Microsoft Suite skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and WordAbility to travel as needed (The successful candidate will embrace Vertiv's Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.
