This position provides technical and operational support for the Casey Eye Institutes Community Outreach Program, specifically focused on telehealth screening sites and related operations across Oregon. As a key member of the team, the position supports community-based vision screenings, telehealth services, research initiatives, and vision health education efforts. The role operates under the supervision of the programs medical director and program director, contributing to the delivery of high-quality, accessible eye care throughout the state.

Pay Range : $31.79 - $42.97 per hour, commensurate with experience

Function / Duties of Position

Telehealth Screening Coordination

• Serve as the primary point of contact for telehealth community partner sites, providing customer service and operational support.
• Coordinate scheduling and registration of telehealth vision screening participants in OHSU Epic; maintain and update scheduling templates for CEI Outreach resources.
• Index external orders, consent forms, and related documentation into OHSU Epic, REDCap, or other approved databases per protocol.
• Monitor daily telehealth clinic operations, including EHR documentation, image capture, and paperwork; flag issues and coordinate corrective actions with appropriate staff.
• Collaborate with community partners on site-specific projects aimed at furthering program engagement and increasing screening capacity.
• Support ophthalmic technicians with troubleshooting EHR, imaging equipment, and data transfer systems; send clinic reminders and operational instructions.
• Track, purchase, and maintain inventory of screening equipment, supplies, and general office needs for telehealth and outreach activities.
• Manage administrative functions including P-Card reconciliation, purchase orders, reimbursements, and mileage submissions for telehealth activities.
• Assist with technician recruitment, onboarding and tracking of hours, mileage; update staffing logistics in SmartSheet to support efficient clinic operations.
• Review and update SER (Site Evaluation Report) profiles for all telehealth sites on a biannual basis.
• Prepare IRB-compliant materials for screening sites, including consent forms, educational packets, and staff training documents.
• Provide onsite support at telehealth sites across Oregon as required to ensure service delivery.

Additional Details

Primarily Monday - Friday based in the outreach office located on Marquam Hill. Limited travel to telehealth sites throughout Oregon with limited weekend work (less than 3%). Employee may telework with supervisor approval, following probationary / training period with approved Flexible Work Agreement on file.
