Confidential Opportunity : Payroll Manager
A leading global professional services firm is seeking a seasoned Payroll Manager to oversee Payroll operations across multiple office locations. This strategic role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing while managing a high-performing team and collaborating across departments.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Operations
Lead end-to-end payroll processing across U.S. offices, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Manage complex compensation structures including bonuses, overtime, and special payments for various employee groups
Oversee payroll tax filings and ensure all reporting obligations are met
Team Leadership
Supervise and mentor payroll staff, fostering professional development and performance excellence
Recommend and implement process improvements and technology upgrades to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Compliance & Risk
Ensure adherence to wage and hour laws, tax codes, and internal policies
Coordinate with auditors and maintain audit readiness
Safeguard data integrity and confidentiality across payroll systems
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with HR, Finance, and Benefits teams to align payroll with broader compensation and benefits strategies
Provide reporting and analytics to support financial planning and leadership decision-making
Act as a subject matter expert on payroll implications of policy and regulatory changes
Required Skills & Experience
Deep understanding of payroll regulations and multi-state practices
Proficiency in payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, UKG, or similar platforms
Experience with Workday integrations (Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, Reporting) is a plus
Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
High level of discretion and commitment to accuracy and service
Strategic mindset with attention to both detail and broader business impact
Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment
Pay Details : $135,000.00 to $178,000.00 per year
